Herbal Nature Dandelion Tincture 50ml - Taraxacum officinale
Tinctures are derived from dipping a herb in an alcoholic solution (usually pure alcohol) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herb are dissolved in the alcoholic solution, resulting in the formation of the cotton. The teas are much more drastic than flukes and infusions.
Taraxacum officinale (source Wiki) contains the same active ingredients as the dried herb Taraxaco. In modern herbal therapy, Taraxacum is used for a wide range of health problems, as it appears to have truly admirable properties. One of the important benefits that is attributed to it is its ability to detoxify the body. Taraxacum seems to effectively cleanse blood and tissues from the harmful toxins that accumulate in the body - a very important feature in dermatopathies. The herb is a diuretic and cleanses the urinary system, unlike other diuretic herbs, it does not deprive the body of potassium - the large amount of potassium contained in it replenishes the body's losses. It is argued that Taraxac helps to increase the flow of bile and stimulates both the liver and the gallbladder (a feature that many claim to be due to the substance Taracin it contains). The herb seems to have strong antibacterial activity and according to Chinese herbalists it may be effective even in very "strong" bacteria (cases of pneumonia, diphtheria, staphylococcus etc.). There are reports that consumption of Taraxac reduces cholesterol, improves gland function, helps maintain normal body weight and has a positive effect on all liver diseases. Taraxac is said to be one of the best herbs to stimulate, detoxify and regulate the functions of the human organism.
The bottles of botanicals are very active and should therefore be consumed according to their instructions.
The usual dosage is 1 ml (about 20 drops a day).
They should not be consumed during pregnancy and lactation.
