WHAT IS DULCOSOFT® AND WHAT IS IT USED?

The main ingredient of DulcoSoft® is Macrogol 4000 (polyethylene glycol 4000), which has a high water-binding capacity. It serves as a carrier for the liquid (water) and retards its intestinal absorption thereby leading to an increased amount of water in the colon.

There, soften hard stools and increase their volume. This leads to increased bowel motility and facilitating defecation with a sense of natural relief.

Macrogol 4000 has a purely normal mode of action: it is not absorbed by the body and is excreted unchanged.

For the symptomatic treatment of constipation as a hard faecal emollient
WHAT IS DIFFICULTY?

Constipation is considered to reduce the frequency of stools to less than 3 per week or the need for significantly increased pressure to achieve defecation. When depletion is delayed, feces that remain for a long time in the intestine are dehydrated and become dry and hard.
