Spikenard comes from the plant called Nardostachys Jatamansi. The essential oil of Nardos comes from distillation of the roots of the plant and has a strong valerian aroma. It is universally known as the herb with which Mary Magdalene scented the feet of Jesus before the Last Supper.
The essential oil of Nardos is used in aromatherapy to relieve migraines, anxiety and tension, to renew the skin and wound healing and as a sleep aid.
