Herbal Nature Motherwort tincture (Leonurus cardiaca) 50ml

Tinctures are made from dipping a herb in an alcohol solution (usually pure alcohol), for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herb dissolve in alcohol-thus creating the tincture. The essences are much more effective than and spills of beverages. 

Motherwort tincture (Leonurus cardiaca) contains the same active ingredients as the dried herb Motherwort. Motherwort is used in modern herbal medicine primarily to treat heart problems and to normalize the menstrual period. Motherwort is one of the most important herbs to stimulate cardiac function. Used to treat hypertension and tachycardia.

Responsible for this effectiveness is the alkaloid leonurin, which dilates arteries (main and secondary) and improves blood circulation in the body. Generally the leonuros is a cordial that reduces the likelihood of blood clots, lowers cholesterol and triglycerides (with regular use), which is particularly effective in cases of cardiac disorders due to nervous tension and great stress. The leonouros is also very effective in normalizing the menstrual period (especially in cases where the blood flow is inadequate or delayed period) and treat amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea. The component considered responsible for the effectiveness of motherwort in normalizing the period is the glycoside leonurinine.

It should be noted that the German Commission E has approved the consumption of Motherwort for the treatment of hyperthyroidism.
