Olivoil Surfactant is a non-ethoxylated, non-sulfated "PEG Free" plant-derived surfactant that combines the unique fatty acid profile of olive oil with the characteristic affinity of hydrolyzed wheat proteins.

It is obtained by condensation between the carboxyl group of fatty acids derived from olive oil and the amino group of hydrolyzed wheat proteins. Thanks to its lipo-protein structure, it can be used to make cosmetic cleansing products for the skin and hair.

Olivoil Surfactant cleans in depth, removes excess sebum and residues from environmental pollutants and leaves an unrepeatable feeling of coolness and freshness on the skin. Its main characteristics are its gentle action during the cleansing phase combined with its contribution to the protection of pH and the balancing of the skin's moisture during drying, a combination particularly rare in standard, traditional surfactants.

Olivoil Surfactant is supplied as an aqueous solution (min. 26% a.m.) and can be added to any cosmetic formulation, without pretreatment. It is recommended to add it at temperatures below 40°C. In addition, it can also be used as a secondary surfactant in order to reduce the irritating effect of traditional chemical surfactants. During application it forms a soft, creamy foam.

Recommended pH for products with good softening properties: 6.0.

Usage rate: Between 2 and 20% in skin cleansing products (showers, shampoos, baby care and personal hygiene products).
