Helpful Tips for Soap Making

So you have collected all the basic materials to make your own
your bars of soap. Soap mass transparent, with honey, white, with goat's milk
milk, with or without foaming agent. You chose essential oils in
combinations that inspire you, as well as colors in liquid or powder form.
And of course you have chosen the right mold.

Now you're wondering if you should add something else like skin
orange, cinnamon or rosemary, rose petals or cocoa. Of course the
options are endless and the combinations can give
amazing results.

Here we will give a few tips on what you should avoid.

Do not use any herb or fruit in its fresh form, but
dry it first to avoid moldy soap. Even
if you add preservatives to the mix, such as vitamin E or benzoin, the
you are more likely to encounter the mold in time.

Choose essential oils for fragrance and not extracts that have a base
them the alcohol because your mixture will harden abruptly and
unwanted. Also make sure to add the essential oils not as much
the mixture is very hot, but after it has cooled slightly, but without
before it starts solidifying to avoid destruction
of their valuable components from the high temperature.

The best colors are the special liquid soap colors (for cold
and hot method) or powder paints such as metal oxides and Mica.

If you make soaps with oil and soda (saponification):

Do not use unfiltered tap water, not even tap water
oils (a good way to keep oils in good condition is
in the fridge ), impeccable raw materials are always a guarantee for the final product
product and it's a shame to throw away so many other materials together with a card
raw material. Do not use anything other than its hydroxide
sodium (soda), is all that is indicated, and of course be in
good condition, since it has aged and gathered in
large pieces will make it difficult for you to dismantle

Finally, although experimentation is not bad, make sure you do
search for ingredients not commonly used in soaps and
if you insist on trying them, do it in a small amount
to observe the result.
