Pharmaplast Kemagel amorphous sterile healing gel 15gr - Hydroactive colloidal gel

Kemagel® has a hydro-active colloidal formula, it is an amorphous hydrogel that gently hydrates necrotic tissue, facilitating autolytic removal, while being able to loosen and absorb dead skin and skin secretions.

It can also be used to provide optimal wound environment and moisture during the final stages of wound closure.

It can be used for dry or moist wound.

In the case of a dry wound, the dry wound turns into liquid (hydrogel effect).

The dry wound absorbs the contained water and promotes the dissolution of the necrotic/damaged tissue.

In the case of a wet wound, its hydrocolloid property is activated and therefore absorbs excess fluid from the wound and restores the moisture balance in the wound (hydrocolloid effect).

Precautions

Do not use on an infected wound unless directed by your doctor.

Do not use in case of known sensitivity to Kemagel® or any of its ingredients.

It should be used with caution near the eyes and on deep wounds with narrow openings (eg fistulas) where removal of the gel may be difficult.

It is for external use only and should not be taken internally.

It is a sterile, single-use medical device. Reuse carries a risk of contamination.

Wash your hands before and after treating the wound.

For open wounds (eg ulcers):

Wash the wound with a sterile saline solution to clean the area.
Keep the tip of the nozzle clear of the wound surface. gently squeeze the tube to distribute the gel on the wound. Spread the gel over the surface of the wound (approx. 5 mm thick).
Discard any unused gel.
Cover with a pad of your choice.

For minor wounds (eg cuts) and superficial burns:

Gently apply the gel to the wound (without rubbing) once or twice a day.
If necessary, cover the wound with a sterile pad or bandage and change daily.
It can be removed simply and painlessly with a gauze soaked in water.
