Butyric acid belongs to a group of short-chain fatty acids (SCFA). It is found in nature as a component of fat in milk and its derivatives, while in the human body butyric acid is formed in the large intestine, as a result of the fermentation of dietary fiber.

The total release of the butyric acid is completed after 24 hours, resulting in maximum coverage of the entire colon.

ColonLife Probiotics:
The individual probiotic strains in ColonLife are freeze-dried and microencapsulated using a patented process (WO 2013114185A1). The process of coating the bacterial cells is based on the use of vegetable lipids that provide the appropriate gastroprotection. At the end of this process, the semi-finished product is placed in vegetable microcapsules and packaged in high-strength tabs with aluminum foil blisters for maximum protection and durability.
The patented technology of placing probiotic cells in microcapsules allows for greater stability of the product which, combined with significant gastro-resistance and clearly improved survival, reaches at least 5 times higher than probiotics that are not placed in microcapsules (e.g. 1 billion probiotic cells in a microcapsule = 5 billion probiotic cells outside the microcapsule).
