VioGenesis Bromelain is a dietary supplement containing the enzyme bromelain, which is derived from an extract of the fruit and stems of pineapple (Ananas comosus). VioGenesis Bromelain contains 600 mg of pineapple extract, which yields 2400 GDU/g of bromelain.

Bromelain is a complex of proteolytic enzymes (proteases) that break down proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids, which can then be absorbed and utilized by the body.*

Bromelain supplements with a high GDU (Gelatin Digesting Units) content are characterized by increased enzyme activity, which is an indicator of the enzyme's ability to hydrolyze proteins.
