Dehydroacetic acid and benzyl alcohol, a unique combination of benzyl alcohol, salicylic acid, glycerine and sorbic acid, is a highly effective and easy-to-use preservative that comes with good biological recommendations that can be used in natural cosmetic preparations, broad-spectrum Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and yeasts in a wide pH range.

It is a clear, colorless to slightly yellowish liquid with a mild odor, suitable for use either alone or in combination with essential oils, as its aroma is completely distinctive and does not cover the scent of essential oils. Adding it as the last component of a product and at temperatures below 45 ° C will achieve the smallest odor profile.

It is suitable for use in various cosmetic formulations, such as shampoos, conditioners, lotions, creams, wipes and sunscreens, and performs most in the environment between pH 2 and pH 7.
