The turmeric is the common name of the plant Curcuma Longa. The essential oil of the turmeric comes from steam distillation of the root of this plant. The essential oil of the turmeric contains curcumin and felandrini substances which impart antiseptic. The essential oil of the turmeric used in aromatherapy mainly as an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-acne, hair growth on female face for bruises and arthritis. The essential oil of the turmeric is combined very well with ginger, ylang-ylang and verbena.
