INTRODUCTION:

This clinical study was conducted at the First W / D Clinic of Aristotle from May 2007 to December 2007 .

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the mixture of beta- sitosterol (BSS *) and glucoside (BSSG *) in children with allergic rhinitis .

PATIENTS AND METHODS :

The study included 30 children -19 boys and 11 girls - with an average age of 10.33 + -3.71 years , suffering from allergic rhinitis, fulfilling the criteria ISAAC, and had total IgE immunoglobulin increased ( more than twice the upper limit of normal ) .

All children were treated with the mixture BSS * / BSSG * a regimen with one capsule 3 times daily for a period of 6 months.
