The Wellion LUNA UA Uric Acid test strips are used in conjunction with the Wellion LUNA Trio and Duo Meter to measure the concentration of uric acid in capillary blood from the finger tips.

With the Wellion LUNA meter and the corresponding Wellion LUNA Uric Acid test strips you can conveniently determine your uric acid level at home. Home measurement cannot replace the general practitioner, but it is intended to show the success of a drug treatment and the change of your diet in an encouraging way, especially in addition to regular check-ups.

Handling, or Dealing with:

Remove the Wellion LUNA Uric Acid test strip from the test strip vial. Place the test strip on the meter to activate it. The display shows the "UA" symbol, the flashing blood drop symbol, and the test strip symbol.
Press the lancing device (with a fresh scalpel) on the side of the fingertip and press the release button to puncture and collect the drop of blood.
Now hold the tip of the test strip at a slight angle to the blood sample. The test strip absorbs the blood. The meter beeps to let you know when there is enough blood for the test. The screen shows the countdown and after 15 seconds the result is displayed on the screen.
