DESCRIPTION

Pharmaplast Ultra eXsorb is a non-woven pad coated with a breathable waterproof, virus resistant and waterproof polyurethane layers with antibacterial protection and a central absorbent pad.

The pad is made of a blend of superabsorbent acrylic and viscose fibers, thermally laminated to a transparent transparent PE net.

The pad also absorbs wound secretions to form a soft, hydrophilic, breathable gel layer that provides a moist environment to facilitate healing.

The frequency of dressing changes depends on the condition of the wound.

In case of wounds with dead tissue or wounds of intense extrusion, the dressing should be changed daily.

For wounds with lower exudate, the dressing may be left in place for a longer period of time.

Precautions

Wounds showing signs of clinical infection may be dressed, but the dressing should be changed daily and the use of systemic antibiotic therapy considered.

Do not use in case of known sensitivity to Pharmaplast Ultra eXsorb or any of its ingredients.

How to use it

Choose pad size approximately 2 cm larger than the wound area.
Open the package and apply the dressing to the wound using aseptic technique.
In lightly exuding wounds it is possible to apply the dressing and then gently moisten the area directly above the wound with sterile water or saline solution.
It can be applied without a secondary fixation bandage.

In the event that the dressing slightly adheres to the wound, the saline solution helps to remove it without pain or trauma.
