Food supplement with a high proportion of live and heat-inactivated lactobacilli (metabiotics) to strengthen the vaginal microbiome. Contains 25 probiotic strains, 50 billion per capsule, PreticX™ prebiotic xylooligosaccharides and 5 metabiotic strains.

Lactobacilli make up the majority of the normal microflora of the vagina. Lactobacillus bacteria produce lactic acid and in this way contribute to the maintenance of normal pH, preventing dysbiosis and protecting against the overgrowth of pathogenic bacteria and fungi, which cause vaginitis and mycosis respectively. Lactobacilli, when taken by mouth, pass through the stomach, small and large intestine before reaching the vagina. Their transfer to the vagina occurs through skin contact on the perineum. In order for adequate amounts of lactobacilli to reach the female vagina, it is important to take high amounts to begin with.

The strains Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001, Lactobacillus acidophilus LA14, Lactobacillus rhamnosus CA15, Lactobacillus crispatus LCR6, Lactobacillus gasseri LGS3, Lactobacillus jensenii LJ5, Lactobacillus fermentum CS57 have been proven to support the vaginal microbiome. Taking L. rhamnosus CA15 leads to a significant improvement in clinical signs and symptoms even 30 days after the end of treatment. The strain L. fermentum CS57 has been selected for its strong antimicrobial activity. The strains L. crispatus LCR6, L. gasseri LGS3 and L. jensenii LJ5 have been selected, due to the dominant presence of the specific species of lactobacilli in the vaginal environment of healthy women.
