Each chewable, hypoallergenic tablet contains 500mg of vitamin C from concentrated acerola extract, 100mg of lemon bioflavonoids, 25mg of concentrated black currant, 25mg of green pepper extract, 5mg of rutin. Naturally sweetened with fructose.
The acerola fruit (Malpighia glabra) is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. Native Americans of South America traditionally used acerola to treat colds. Rose hips are another rich source of vitamin C. They also contain carotenoids (beta carotene, lycopene, zeaxanthin, lutein, etc.), bioflavonoids, polyphenols, and pectins. The fruits of the species Rosa mosqueta, R. canina, and R. rugoza are mainly used.
