Curcumin and saffron are two commonly used spices that have been increasingly investigated for their action against symptoms of depression.
Saffron is characterized by its bioactive components, crocins and safranal, which are responsible for the spice's aroma and its characteristic red color.
There is evidence that crocins act as dopamine and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, while safranal acts mainly on serotonin reuptake.
Mood disorders are associated with increased oxidative stress and a deficiency of exogenous antioxidants, affecting immune and inflammatory responses, resulting in the promotion of neurodegeneration.
There is evidence that saffron antioxidants protect against oxidative stress in the central nervous system, constituting a second possible mechanism of therapeutic action.
A strong body of clinical studies supports the antidepressant and anxiolytic effects of saffron in adults and adolescents, which has the added advantage of a strong safety and reduced interaction profile with drugs used in the treatment of clinical symptoms.

Curcumin is the main curcuminoid found in the rhizome of turmeric. Tetrahydrocurcumin is the main active ingredient of curcumin and may provide higher antioxidant effects and additional neuroprotective action.

USE
It is recommended to use during periods of stress and fatigue, which are emotionally charged, in order to recover and support a positive mood.

Add the contents to half a glass of water (100 mL) and mix well.
