Sorbalgon Classic/Sorbalgon T Classic alginate is made from natural fibers derived from seaweed. It is designed to be highly and rapidly absorbent. Alginate absorbs wound exudates and forms a gel-like covering over the wound, maintaining a moist healing environment that accelerates the healing process and helps stop bleeding. The gel-like surface also prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound, so it is painless to remove.
