Fragrant oils are used at a rate of 1-3% in lotions, creams, shampoos, balms and so on. In soaps they are usually used at a ratio of 10ml/kg of soap mass in those prepared using the Melt & Pour method, 15ml/kg of oils in those prepared using the hot method and 20ml/kg of oils in those prepared using the cold method.

In cold method soaps, test them on a small amount of soap before using them in large quantities because some of them may accelerate the “trace” and cause your mixture to harden too quickly.
