Magnesium stearate
Magnesium stearate, or magnesium salt, is a white powder that is solid at room temperature. It is oil-soluble and melts at 88 degrees C. It is a base powder, of high quality and purity. It is widely used in pharmaceuticals, food or cosmetics in tablets, capsules or candies, as a coating agent.
In cosmetics and make-up products it can be used to give a soft, silky feel, as well as to extend the life of the product on the skin. It gives a light to medium coverage to covering products such as a powder, a makeup or a concealer.
Magnesium stearate is approved by European legislation for safe use in all kinds of cosmetic products. Keep well closed in a shady and dry environment for about 2 years.
