Thyme with Linalool chemotype, scientific name Thymus zygis Linalool is a herbaceous, perennial shrub of the botanical family of Heilanthes with small, dark green leaves and white flowers, native to sunny, bright areas of the Mediterranean basin.
Thym Linalool essential oil is obtained by distilling the flowering tops of the plant and has a fresh, sweet, herbaceous aroma with a woody undertone. The main molecules of its chemotypic composition are: Linalool (about 65%), terpinene-4-ol, myrsene, γ-terpinene, elements that give it significant therapeutic benefits.
