Potassium alum is the English name for what we commonly call "deodorant crystal".
Potassium alum is an alum (large molecule) of potassium with aluminum, ie the double potassium sulfate with aluminum. It is a salt extracted from bauxite, which is a mineral formed by the rapid disintegration of granite rocks in hot and humid climates and can be cleaned and converted into alum.
It is a natural deodorant safe to use as an alternative to the aluminum most commonly found in commercial deodorants.

It does not prevent sweating and has antibacterial properties, because it acts as an antiseptic, prevents odor without inhibiting the secretion of sweat.

Used at a rate of 3-10% in common deodorants. It is water-soluble and is therefore usually incorporated in roll-on deodorants. With the addition of this substance the action of the deodorant in the armpit area ranges between 5-6 hours which can be increased by adding baking soda and various essential oils (eg tea tree, lemon, lavender, etc.)
