Zinc Oxide is a white powder well known for its ability to protect the skin from the sun's rays.
Zinc oxide is effective against both UVA (320-400nm) and UVB (280-320nm) rays. Like titanium dioxide, zinc dioxide is completely hypoallergenic and safe to use. The molecules of the ingredient are not absorbed by the skin and therefore do not affect the human body.
Zinc oxide can be used in moisturizers and lotions. The ability to "open" the colors is especially useful in the case of soap making.
