VITAMIN K2 THE VITAMIN WHICH CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE

Vitamin K is a group of structurally similar, fat-soluble vitamins that the human body needs to fully synthesize certain proteins that are necessary for:
1. Blood clotting
2. To control the binding of calcium to bones and other tissues
3. To limit the deposition of calcium on organs and vessels

THE TWO BASIC TYPES OF VITAMIN K.
1. Vitamin K1 or phylloquinone — phylloquinone, is found naturally in plants, especially green vegetables. K1 goes directly into your liver and helps you get proper blood clotting.
2. Vitamin K2, also called menaquinone, is produced by the bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract. K2 goes straight to the walls of your blood vessels, bones and tissues other than your liver. Although it is found in large quantities in our intestines, it is unfortunately not absorbed by it and passes through our gut. It also protects our blood vessels from calcification and helps our bones maintain calcium and develop the correct crystalline structure.

As much calcium as you get from your diet (whose availability is increased with the help of Vit D), not only does it not benefit you, it can also be very harmful if not deposited in the right places, which is mainly your skeleton. Many health problems are associated with calcium that has resulted in the soft tissues of our bodies, for example our arteries. So you need some way to steer the potentially dangerous calcium where it should.
This is exactly what K2 κάνει directs through some of the proteins it controls, calcium in the right places. In the bloodstream, K2 contributes to carboxylation of (MGP), the strongest inhibitor of arterial calcification, thereby reducing the risk for cardiovascular damage. Correlation of K deficiency with Alzheimer's disease, aging skin, varicose veins and many other diseases has been found.

Deficiency Vitamin K Deficiency In The House Means
► Without Vitamin K, blood clotting function is severely affected, and uncontrolled bleeding occurs
Χαμη Low levels of vitamin K may also signal bone loss
-Even - and this is even more dangerous - a low quota of vitamin K2 in the body will likely lead to arterial and other soft tissue calcification.
Ψη Lack and possible deficiency of vitamin K2 conveys increased risk for vascular calcification, cardiovascular disease and varicose veins, Osteoporosis
Πολλές Many clinical studies have shown that deficiency of this vitamin increases the chances of developing cancers such as: Prostate cancer, Lung cancer, Liver cancer and Leukemia
When we have severe deficiency some of the proteins involved in the coagulation process cannot be activated. By the same mechanism, vitamin K2 is essential for the activation of other proteins in our body.
A significant portion of these proteins (osteocalcin, MGP, Gas-6) are involved in the management of metallic elements in tissues. One of the effects of vitamin K deficiency is the increased deposition of minerals, such as calcium, on soft tissues.

K2 TAKE BENEFITS:
► Cardiovascular health and prevention of atherosclerosis and stroke.
► Preventing many forms of cancer. In addition to preventing, K2's contribution to the treatment of certain forms of cancer is also being investigated.
► Maintain strong bones and prevent osteoporosis
Άνει Increases insulin sensitivity, which in addition to diabetics is of great interest to those who want to maintain a slim body.
Θά Helps in male fertility
Βοη It helps women a lot throughout pregnancy for the smooth development of the fetus
Kids for the right shape of the face, jaw, dental arch.
► Mental health and brain health in general.

IMPORTANT!!! Vitamin K2 reduces the risk of cancer.
A recent study by the European Medical and Social Cooperation Program (EPIC) on Cancer and Nutrition, published in the March 2010 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, showed that high intake of vitamin K2 - not K1 - leads to reduced risk of developing cancer, and a 30% reduction in cancer deaths.

IMPORTANT!!! Vitamin K2 is the key to getting calcium into the bones and not getting into the arteries.
Calcium is concentrated in blood vessels and in particular the coronary arteries of the heart, hardens their walls, and predisposes to cardiovascular disease, which is one of the most common causes of mortality in the Western world.
Arteriosclerosis, which often shows no symptoms, is a very dangerous condition that, combined with the deposition of fat in the arteries, causes blood vessel narrowing and leads to myocardial infarction, angina and thrombosis.
Scientific research shows that Vitamin K2 is important in the action of Matrix-Gla (MGP) protein. MGP binds calcium ions and prevents calcium deposition on artery walls. When vitamin K2 is maintained at a satisfactory level in the body, a sufficient amount of MGP protein is activated to prevent atherosclerosis.
Menakinone-7 is the main form of vitamin K2 found in Natto, which produces MenaQ7®, giving it all the above benefits for heart and artery health.
The Rotterdam Study, published in 2004, analyzed the diet of more than 4,800 people from the Netherlands, aged 55, over a 10-year period. The study concluded that 45mg daily of menakinone-7, a form of vitamin K2, was associated with the prevention of coronary heart disease and atherosclerosis. Specifically, people who took vitamin K2 with their diet had up to a 50% reduced risk of atherosclerosis and also a 50% reduced risk of a cardiovascular event during the study.

VITAMIN K2 AS MENAKINONI-7 (MK-7)

Circulating Vitamin K concentrations following a single oral dose of 1mg each of Vitamin K1 and Vitamin K2 (MK-7) [Schurgers, et al. 2007]

Vitamin K2 (MK-7) compared to Vitamin K1
Dr. Schurgers and his colleagues conducted a clinical study comparing Vitamin K2 (MK-7) with vitamin K1 and found that MK-7 had a much longer half-life.5 Thus, the study showed a much more positive benefit for health supplementation of Vitamin K2 over Vitamin K1, due to the prolonged effectiveness of Vitamin K2 (MK-7) in the circulatory system.
Vitamin K2 as menakinone-7 (MK-7) is the most bioavailable, longer lasting, and most of the bioactive form of vitamin K. It is essentially K2 in a longer chain form found in fermented foods.

WHY WE HAVE TO CONNECT VITAMIN K 2 TO VITAMIN D3
Vitamin K2 is involved in a thin dance with Vitamin D, and you should have both ingredients in synergy with each other and sufficient amounts to ensure optimal health.
As we grow older, our skeletons deteriorate. Our bodies shrink to height, bones become more fragile, and the vertebrae change shape.
Osteoporosis is a disease in which bone density and quality are reduced, resulting in skeletal weakness and an increased risk of fractures.
Worldwide, the lifetime risk for osteoporotic fractures in women is 30-50%, while in men the risk is 15-30%. The three most common types of osteoporotic fractures are wrist fracture, vertebral fracture and hip fracture.
Osteoporosis is often referred to as "silent disease" because it removes bone mass without symptoms. In many cases, the first "symptom" is a broken bone. Patients with osteoporosis may not even know it. Their bones become so weak that a sudden pressure, blow, or fall causes a hip fracture or a vertebral collapse that may initially be felt in the form of severe back pain, height loss, or spinal deformity ( .
Several studies have shown that supplementing our diet with calcium alone is not enough. The addition of Vitamin D and Vitamin K significantly improves bone health. Scientific research has shown that vitamin D stimulates osteocalcin synthesis, while vitamin K2 is essential for its activation. It is only when osteocalcin is activated by vitamin K2 that it binds calcium to the bones in the most effective way. Vitamin D and Vitamin K2 work together to enable the body to use calcium effectively to improve bone health.

It is important to realize that vitamin K does not work alone. It needs partners, and vitamin D is an important partner. These two factors work together to increase the Matrix Gla (MGP) protein, which is responsible for protecting blood vessels from calcification. Indeed, MGP is so important that it can be used as a scientific way of measuring our cardiovascular status.
Results of clinical studies in humans indicate that concomitant use of vitamins K2 and D can significantly reduce bone mass loss.

In people with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, a rare metabolic disorder, vitamin K administration should be avoided as it can cause hemolytic attacks.
And finally, people who take anticoagulants (antiplatelet, heparin, coumarin, sintrom) that act as antagonists of vitamin K (reduce blood clotting capacity) should pay special attention to diet as it should be avoided in parallel. supplement of high vitamin K foods.
