Vivo Verde Propolis 150mg supplement 50caps - The gift of bees in capsule form
Propolis is a sticky substance produced by bees, which results from the collection of resinous secretions from the bark of plants and enriched with wax, pollen, enzymes and other substances.
Propolis is used by bees to seal and disinfect the inside of the hive from parasitic organisms and insects.
Propolis is amazing for the human body as it has:
1. Anti-inflammatory action: Stimulates the motility of immune macrophage cells and suppresses some enzymes that allow an inflammation to grow.
2. Antibacterial action: Propolis covers a wide range of bacteria, acting on the staphylococcus, on the streptococcus, responsible for infections of the oral cavity. According to the literature, flavonoids of propolis and generally polyphenols are constituents with antioxidant and antibacterial activity.
3. Antiviral action: Propolis antiviral action is very important and the flavonoids it contains are also responsible for it. The action of herpes virus and adenoviruses has been fully elucidated. Other ingredients, such as esters and caffeic acid, are involved in the action of propolis against viruses. Finally propolis acts as a condom in influenza, hepatitis B and herpes zoster.
4. Antifungal action: Propolis proves effective against attacks of pathogenic fungi on the skin. In dermatology and cosmetology it ensures skin radiance and gloss. It activates the immune system and produces a large number of macrophages, essential for the eradication of fungi and bacteria.
5. Healing action: Propolis achieves healing of damaged tissues mainly due to the essential oils it contains. Furthermore, the antioxidant activity of propolis thanks to flavonoids binds the free radicals of oxygen.
6. Anesthetic action: Its anesthetic properties are due to its volatile oils (essential oils) and is recommended for local anesthetic action (eg insect bites).
7. Antiparasitic action: Propolis is effective in fighting pests such as trichomonas, trypanosomes, etc. This action is due to the inhibition of their protein synthesis.
Components
It contains more than 200 different substances. It consists of resins (55%), candles (7-35%), volatile compounds (10%), pollen (5%), fatty acids (5%) and other ingredients such as sterols, sugars, amino acids, DNA and RNA, vitamins , minerals, flavonoids (flavones, flavonols and flavonones, such as quercetin, apigenin, luteolin, etc.), phenols such as caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE).
