BIOCIDIC PRODUCT
Products designed to combat a particular parasite, for example antimicrobial products that kill microorganisms or insecticides for use against bed bugs, are regulated by the European Union through a series of guidelines and regulations including the Biocidal Products Regulation.

These products are called "biocides" and include a wide variety of species, such as disinfectants, antibacterial cleaners, insecticides and repellents.

Biocides include one or more "active ingredients", the substance that controls this parasite, as well as inert ingredients, such as stabilizers, propellants, perfume or other components that complement the formula. In order to be as clear as possible about biocides and to comply with government requirements, the descriptions of these products within this site use the format you see above. The active ingredient is listed at the top, with the other (inert) ingredients below.
