Iron oxides are chemical compounds composed of iron and oxygen. They are refined so as to remove the impurities initially contained and be suitable for cosmetic use. These are high quality and purity pigments and can be incorporated into all kinds of products as they follow all European standards for the safety of cosmetics and raw materials. All the oxides are matte pigments, with earth colors that can be used to give color to makeup products, soaps or candles.

Brown iron oxide can be used in dark shades, blush, brown mascara, pencil or coffee eyeliner. It is very useful as a raw material in a cover makeup or powder for brunette skin. It can also be used to give brown color to natural soaps or melt & pour soaps. To incorporate it into natural soap, first dissolve it in a small amount of oil, eg olive oil or almond oil.

Use in a small amount as it is a very concentrated dye. If you make a makeup or powder, remember to mix all base powders very well into a mortar or mill.

Keep well kept in a shady, dry environment for about 3 years.
