The oil of Pomegranate (Pomegranate Seed Oil) is derived from the seed treatment plant Punica Granatum Linn - the familiar Pomegranate . This is one of the most valuable , sought after and expensive oils in the world . It takes about 200 pounds of fresh pomegranates to produce just one liter of oil .The pomegranate oil is distinctive and has a pretty strong smell , is highly viscous and has a golden color it also has strong antioxidant activity . Combats free radicals on the skin and for this reason is considered one of the best natural ingredients to fight the signs of aging . Rarely contains fatty acids (punicic to 65 % and ellagic acids) which are believed to have a positive effect on human skin.
