Intended use: Iron Softly Absorbed 25mg product contains iron bisglycinate, as a source of iron, under the brand name of Ferrochel® and is considered to be the ideal alternative supplemental provider of iron to our body when this mineral is needed, compared to other iron sources, such as iron sulphate. Iron bisglycinate is an amino acid chelate of iron, providing 20% of elemental iron, having high bioavailability and extremely well tolerance by the gastrointestinal system (less gastrointestinal side-effects and less potential for iron toxicity). It is safe for use by pregnant and lactating women, teenagers, and adults.

Unlike common forms of supplemental iron, iron bisglycinate carries no electrical charge (neutral molecule), making it less likely to block the absorption of other nutrients, such as vitamin E, ascorbic acid, and calcium. Iron bisglycinate doesn't break down in stomach acid and is delivered intact to the intestine, where it is easily absorbed and this helps significantly in avoiding the unpleasant gastrointestinal side effects, such as nausea, constipation and gastric upset which normally appear when consuming other inorganic iron supplements.
