Dermatologist's notes
Stress, pollution, hormonal imbalances, certain medicinal treatments and the use of unsuitable hair products can contribute to the appearance of dandruff. These various factors cause the spread of a yeast called Malassezia furfur, which created an imbalance in the scalp and triggers irritations and itching. This can lead to two types of dandruff:
- Dry dandruff: fine, white or greyish flakes. Not adherent to the scalp, these flakes detach themselves spontaneously and fall "like dust" onto the shoulders.
- Oily dandruff: these large, yellowish, oily, thick flakes stick to the scalp because the condition is accompanied by hyperseborrhea of the scalp.
Directions for use
- Apply to a damp scalp
- Rinse
- Reapply and leave on for 3 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly
- Use twice a week for 6 weeks
