Local ophthalmic application of vitamin A improves wearing of contact lenses in reducing the mechanical damage they can cause to corneal epithelial cells, the conjunctiva and the eyelids.

The vitamin A stabilizes the fatty phase of lachrymal film, increasing its capacity to maintain natural hydration, thus reducing the symptoms of ocular dryness. This effect is also produced by the polysaccharides present in the eye drops.

The vitamin E is an antioxidant which slightly reduces the concentration of free radicals in the lachrymal fluid, and improves the protection of the corneal and conjunctiva cells, thus decreasing the risk of inflammation and promoting healing processes.

NAVITAE™ eye drops is an ophthalmic lubricant solution with antioxidant and hydrating actions, intended to sooth redness and ocular discomfort in the following cases:

Irritation due to keratitis, discomfort after ocular surgery, traumatic ulcers or corneal inflammations.
