Turmeric and dash of turmeric is a spice. It is the glistening yellow dust arising from crushing the dry stalk of the plant curcuma longa – tropical perennial shrub belonging to the family of ginger which is found especially in India and Indonesia.

Usage: The turmeric is an amazing match for pasta or rice, in briam or grilled vegetables and potatoes. Also, the burning turmeric removes mosquitoes. Its use is not recommended for pregnant women.
